The Restaurant

Restaurant, lounge & cocktail bar.

Relais de Paris sits on the seafront of Complejo Benabola in Puerto Banús — an open terrace under canvas sails, looking straight out over the beach and the sea.

The terrace

Sails in sand and white filter the sun across the tables, so the light moves through the day. Wicker chairs, timber tables and deep lounge sofas face out over the beach and the breakwater, with palms and planting along the edge.

In the evening the terrace turns towards the sunset; a fire table glows as the light goes.

The kitchen

The menu moves easily between the brasserie and the Mediterranean. The house formula is a salad followed by entrecôte or grilled chicken with unlimited fries; the Relais de Paris sauce also comes with the entrecôte baguette.

Around it: Iberian ham and tapas, Black Angus ribeye and a one-kilo chuletón for two, seven paellas cooked to order for the table, homemade tagliatelle, salads and poke bowls — and crêpes, dame blanche and cakes from Chez Eric to finish.

The bar

Spritz and mojitos through the afternoon, sangría by the jug, a short list of Spanish and French wines from Rioja to Sancerre and Saint-Émilion, and champagne up to Dom Pérignon. Happy hour runs from 15:00 to 18:00, and the bar stays open until two, Wednesday to Sunday.
